Plan a Family Reunion at Wildwood Chapel With Mount Magazine Views

Family reunions work best when everyone feels comfortable settling in and spending real time together. At Wildwood Chapel and Event Venue, we host reunions that feel relaxed and intentional, with space for conversation, shared meals, and moments that matter. Our mountain setting gives families room to reconnect without feeling rushed or boxed in.

A Setting That Encourages Time Together

Wildwood Chapel and Event Venue is located in Paris, Arkansas, near Mount Magazine. Guests often mention how the surroundings set the tone as soon as they arrive. We are close to Mount Magazine State Park and the state park lodge, which is about five minutes away and offers 65 rooms. That proximity helps families traveling from different areas stay close and make the most of their time together.

Families also have access to scenic overlooks at Mount Magazine State Park for private moments and group photos. These views give reunions a shared backdrop that feels meaningful and easy, especially for large family portraits.

Indoor and Outdoor Spaces That Adapt to Your Group

Our spaces allow families to gather in ways that feel natural. Wildwood Chapel seats up to 75 guests and works well for meals, shared stories, or a quieter portion of the day. The adjacent venue accommodates up to 100 guests and is often used for receptions or casual gatherings, giving families flexibility to separate activities without losing connection.

Outside, the chapel grounds accommodate up to 140 guests. The property includes more than 20 acres with a pond, an arbor, and two flagstone patios. Many reunions move freely between indoor and outdoor areas, using the grounds for visiting, photos, and time outdoors while keeping indoor spaces available for meals or rest.

Supporting Real Family Traditions

Family reunions rarely follow a formal schedule, and our setup reflects that. The kitchen includes a refrigerator, stove, microwave, freezer, and serving counter, along with restaurant grade coffee and tea makers. Families are encouraged to bring their own food, which makes it easier to share traditional dishes, favorite snacks, or casual meals everyone enjoys.

A Bluetooth sound system connects easily to a phone, allowing families to play music, share recordings, or set a comfortable background for the day. A movable bar is available inside, with an outside bar option for patio areas, giving flexibility throughout the gathering.

A Space With a Story

Wildwood Chapel began as a one room schoolhouse in 1903 near St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Ratcliff, Arkansas. After serving local students for decades, it later became a church activity center. In 2018, the building was relocated and renovated on the Mount Magazine property.

That history often resonates during reunions. Multiple generations gather inside a space that already carries stories, which adds depth to the experience without needing explanation.

Planning Your Reunion With Confidence

We offer tours of our ceremony sites and grounds, including bluffs, gardens, and estate areas. Walking the property helps families decide how they want their reunion to unfold and which spaces feel right for their group.

To get started, families can use the Request a Quote form on our website or call us directly. The form collects basic details such as guest count and event type so we can respond with helpful information.

An Invitation From Our Team

Reunions are about honoring where your family has been and enjoying time together now. We would be glad to welcome your group to Wildwood Chapel and Event Venue and help you choose the spaces that fit your plans. Reach out when you are ready to start the conversation.
